Shake Shack

Best Burgers in New York City
California could have the In-N-Out Burgers, but New York City have the Shake Shack Burgers. Shake Shack was born from a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park . The cart was a success and lines formed daily, so they re-opened for an additional 2 summers in 2002 and 2003. In July 2004, after being awarded the contract from NYC Dept of Parks & Recreation to create a permanent food kiosk in the park, Shake Shack officially opened.
I had the SmokeShack (cheeseburger with smoked bacon, chopped cherry pepper and ShackSauce). Trina had the ShakeBurger (cheeseburger topped with lettuce, tomato and ShackSauce) Instead of the milkshake, we had the frozen custard. Rich and creamy ice cream-spun fresh daily on site.

100% all natural Angus beef. No hormones and no antibiotics. Shake Shack grind their proprietary Shack blend fresh daily. Shake Shack burgers are cooked medium and served plain unless otherwise requested. You can add lettuce, tomato, pickle or onion – your choice! And for veggie-lovers, they have the ’Shroom Burger which stars a whole portobello mushroom roasted low and slow.

There is always a line and you can check their Shake cam on line (real time) to see how long you have to wait at any given time.
