Dinner, 2nd day at Viking Hlin

We were still at Breisach and since we had seen the demonstration for the Black Forest Cake, I knew that somehow we will have a slice of the famous cake. Novermber 24, 2015

Lunch at Viking Hlin

Coming back from our excursion to Black Forest, Germany, we had lunch back at the boat. There's an open salad bar and pasta was served as your first course. Wine, beer or soft drinks are always complimentary.

Breakfast at Viking Hlin

We still had jet lag. The earliest you can get breakfast was at 6:30 at Aquavit Terrace. Not so bad, as there is more than enough selection. If I remember right, we were already docked on our first stop, which is Breisach, Germany. Very small, sleepy town with a cathedral high above the hill.

Made on board means "homemade" and not store bought.

The muesli or oatmeal with raisins, made on board, was really good.

As most of us are used getting eggs in the morning, even at Aquavit Terrace, you can order your eggs "your way". We decided to ask for poached eggs. I really wanted eggs benedict, but I will defer that for another day.
