Eataly Caffe in New York City

Eataly is an Italian Market and Cafe, where you can buy anything you can only buy from Italy. For those who prefer not to cook, there are 12 places to eat in the store. Eataly also have a school, where you can learn from the Chefs themselves. Eataly is owned by Mario Batalli and Lidia Bastianich, two celebrity chefs, who owned several restaurants not only in NYC but in other big cities in the U.S.

Lidia is one of my all time favorite Italian cooks.  Her latest new cookbook is on the left.  I have the one on the right where she featured typical dishes cooked in the part of Italy where she grew up.
She has several restaurants in New York City and I have only tried only one of them. It only means, I need to plan to go and try her other restaurants.

I like to get Mario's new cookbook featuring Simple "italian" Family Meals

olive oil in fancy containers

olive oil tasting set

I love olives, small ones, big ones, any kind of olives

Pink salt from the Himalaya, gray salt for Britan, and smoked Danish salt. They also sell the salt flakes which is similar to the Fleur de sal in texture.

Smoked Danish salt is the most expensive at $8 a bottle. I should find out what dish needs this specific kind of salt.

Italians love pork

Caviar at $280 a can!! Yes. the caviar is that expensive, even the mother of pearl spoon for the caviar cost $45!!
So if you cannot shell out $300+, forget about the caviar.

This brand is more expensive at $$380 a can!!!

fruit juice drinks

there are other cookbooks sold other than those authored by Lidia or Mario

They are making this sign from fresh pasta.
