My Korean table

Korean meals usually include several banchan or aide dishes. For my dinner, I have cubed radish kimchi, bellflower kimchi, steamed eggplant with spicy sauce, stir fried anchovies with sesame seeds, and steamed eggs in my clay pot. These banchan will complement my miso soup and boiled shrimps(not exactly Korean) and white rice.

Maia Maja Blanca

Mais maja blanca, one of the favorite Filipino desserts. So easy to make, but needs a lot of TLC. You need to constantly stir the mixture of canned corn (cream and whole corn, one can each), coconut and evaporated milk (one can each), sugar (4c), cornstarch (3 c)mixed into 4 c water/milk.

Personal size lechon "pernil" in Spanish

personal size lechon "pernil" crunchy pork skin is my favorite part of the lechon to be dipped in Mang Thomas lechon sauce.

Popular Korean fried chicken ala Maangchi

Korean crunchy fried chicken "dakgangjeong " drizzled with sweet tangy sauce served with peanuts and toasted sesame seeds. This dish should be enjoyed with a glass of beer, however, instead I had a glass of orange/mango juice with splash of peach vodka.
