Dimsum Breakfast in Hongkong

Our dimsum breakfast in Hongkong!!
We flew in Hongkong early Sunday morning, check-in to our hotel and went out to get our first taste of Hongkong dimsum. The place suggested by the concierge was a few minutes walk.

I was expecting to see carts of delicious steaming small plates. Unfortunately, there were differences in how they bring food to your table.
Due to the language barrier, we did not have our order quicker than we had expected it to be. There were a few ladies with their steaming carts, and everyone was hungry. We finished the small plates as soon as it lands on our table. That is why there were no pictures of the food.

Everyone enjoyed the small plates of steamed pork, chicken and shrimps but
I've had better dimsum breakfast. It was good for what its worth. I has to be, because it was the most expense dimsum breakfast I've had($70+ for a party of 6). It must be because of the location. The place was close to the water. And that is what we decided to do, take a walk by the water.

Welcome to Manila

What have I missed since I was back in Manila?

We always say that we can eat anything in the U.S. because most, if not all the Filipino ingredients are available from our Oriental-Filipino stores. Well, that is true but we can't have Dolor's sapin sapin! And Rosy's pancit Malabon!!

I should not forget to mention the delicious fruits like lanzones and mangoes. Oh, how I wish we can bring some back to the U.S.

Curry dish at Inchon Airport

Anything is good when one is hungry. We had a layover at Seoul, Korea on our way to the Philippines. At 2:00 a.m., when there is only one place to get food, one can't complain.

This curry dish was okay but considering what we paid for (almost US$15), it was not the best curry dish I've had, but it did hit the spot. I just wish that we had bim bim bap, my fovorite Korean dish.

Only in Korea can you find "broth to cure hangover". This could be a favorite in Las Vegas, right?
