Day 7 - Lunch at Steak House Satou

I had high expectations for this place. First of all, it was not easy to find. We almost gave up as we been going in circles. We read a blog from a Canadian couple who just came back, and based on his write up, it is one of things to do before you die. This steak house/butcher shop is in the Kichijoji.

We had ordered the most expensive dish, the Wagyu beef. Wagyu is produced from Matzusaka. "Kobe, Matsuzaka and Oumi are considered to be the three most prestigious cattle-producing regions in Japan. Not that other regions can't produce top quality cattles, but traditionally these three were the more well-known and commanded the top prices."

My opinion, it was not worth the
effort in finding this steak house and price we paid for (almost $100 for 2) was quite expensive. I would recommend high-end restaurant at where we had sukiyaki dinner at Kyoto (see day 5)rather than this place.
