Day 2 - Dinner at Hakone

Something warm on a cool night
We arrived at Hakone sometime before 7;00p.m. The ryokan we will be staying for the next two nights is just outside the train station. Only problem is, you have to go up several flight of stairs. I have to stop several times to catch my breath considering I am carrying my luggage. Although we store some of our bags at the Tokyo lockers, the clothes that we need for the next 4 nights is still pretty heavy. Oh, I was carrying the lighter load as my daughter was thoughtful enough to give me the smaller bag.
After checking into our room, we went out to find where we can have dinner. It was a Friday and it seams that most restaurants close early. We found a Seven eleven store but I wanted more than convenient store food. We bought some snacks and soda for our midnight snack. Fortunately, after few more walking around, we found this small place and as soon as we enter, the smoking chef was just as happy to serve us dinner. There were two groups inside, a American couple who can speak Japanese and a group of three girls sitting in one of the low tables. We decided to sit ourselves at the bar next to the American couple. I knew what I want and was happy that they serve ramen with pork slices(they add wakame seaweeds which is a compliment to the homemade ramen). My daughter ordered the pork with kimchee. It was not spicy and was surprisingly delicious. I guess when you're hungry, everything is delicious.
Now we can sleep.
