Exploring Places to Eat in Queens, New York (part 2)

Chinese pulled noodles from World Mall Food Court in Flushing

the noodles will be made fresh for each order. you can even watch how the noodle maker cuts a piece of dough and starts pulling the dough, sprinkling the pulled dough with flour, pulling the dough again and banging the pulled dough on the table. After several pull and strech of the dough, the right amount of noodles will now be ready for boiling. the ends will be cut and given to another person for a quick boil. Once cooked, a good amount of broth and toppings will be added.
free condiments are available. there is the pickled mustard and chili oil to make the broth spicy. one just needs to hold back when adding the chili oil, as it is really hot & spicy
they say the best way to get rid of the spicy taste in your mouth is to have milk.
I really enjoyed my spicy pulled noodles, however, It also encouraged me to try this interesting dessert.

for dessert, we went for the shaved ice with condensed milk and other sweet stuff (sweetened pineapple, strawberries, colored cereals, sweet sago pearls). the texture is a bit different from the Philippine's halo-halo.  it is lighter and airy.  maybe a bit too sweet because of the condensed milk.
